Better mine than theirs!

Thanks to Martin I approached the Abbey bank and asked them for some (all?) of the money they charged me for repaying my mortgage recently. Quick as a flash I got £130 by return of post, unfortunately my own money! I read on this site somewhere about broadband costs and sent an E-mail to Orange asking, literally, would they consider lowering the £17.99 I pay down to £14.99 a month. This they did with no bother at all. Also on this site I read about another gas/elec tarrif with Powergen. A 5 min call to them and I was advised of a tarrif saving me £15 a year, I accepted.
Thanks Martin, that's £181 I'm better off this year thanks to you. cheers.

Thanks to Martin I will be over £500 better off by the end of this year (all going off the mortgage of course). This is because I have changed gas/electric supplier saving me £34 per month, had a refund from the Halifax for £100 from repaying my mortgage 2 years ago and I am now claiming WFTC as I had been told that we "earned too much"-quick look on "entitled to" and saw we could claim.
;) The toast proposed at our wedding was for "health, wealth and happiness". Our family may not have the health and wealth but we make up for it with the happiness:D
