Small Business Savers: signup and save. Tips please!

Hi there,

I thought it would be a great idea to set up a thread with tips for people who are first-time self-employed / small business owners and ways we can save money now we have a company. Ok, ok, I'm self-interested :) I'd like to know too.

I know there's cashback stuff out there, and although I'm not in the catering business I signed up to a wholesaler today and it looks like I'll be able to shop there and buy some things wholesale. Sure the quantities are larger in some cases, but there's savings to be had and I'm a creature of habit so that's fine with me.

Any other tips for first-timers? I'm kicking off with --

1. Sign up to your local wholesaler and buy for less (in bulk) and beat the supermarkets [of course remember Poundland etc may still have better deals].

Any others?

Thanks!

Read the terms and conditions of any contract before you sign it. If in any doubt, consult a solicitor.

I guess you signed up to some form of agreement when you applied to join the wholesaler as a customer? ;)
