Hi All
i have made an investment with a timber company which in hindsight I shoudn't have. Its not a huge amount - £5000 but I have been told I may have a case. Can anyone suggest a solicitor or law firm that may be experienced in this sort of thing and what kind of fees they charge. Any info much appreciated.

Lots of questions come to me that may help to give any suggestions.
Did anyone advise you on the investment?
How did you invest? Was it from a cold call and is the company you invested in listed on the UK stock exchange?
What did you buy? Was it shares or some other "product"?
Is the company that sold you the investment FSA regulated?
If you bought from a non FSA regulated company without advice then you may only have a case if it was fraudulent in which case the police should be informed. For an investment of £5k you may find legal fees eat up a lot of that amount.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -

Told by whom?
A case against whom?
A case for what injustice?
More precise details might help us.

Was this timber firm another Benstead production by any chance?

Thanks to both of you for the speedy reply.
It was an investment with a company I had previously made investments with and had received good returns.
The company is not FSA regulated.
I have read other peoples experiences with the same firm on this forum and they used solicitors to this recoup their investment.
The case would be against the company I invested with.
It was a plot of land.
Hope these provide you with further information.
many thanks0 -
