Hi
I wonder if anyone can help at all?
I have recently gotten the above tablet, and can find a wireless internet connection when at home, however, seem unable to find either my phone or a colleague's mobile dongle when it is plugged into the tablet!
I must state that this is my first tablet, so am probably not doing something blatantly obvious
Before anyone asks, my WiFi is turned on, for both the tablet and the phone (the phone is a Nokia Lumia 800) but they seem unable to locate each other (I know my laptop can find the phone and vice-versa wirelessly).
What am I doing wrong?
Additionally, can anyone recomend both a suitable android tablet forum I could look at (for my no doubt endless queries I have about this tablet) and also a suitable SatNav (I downloaded navfree from the playstore, however, I don't believe this tablet has GPS in it, so am looking for an alternative solution to getting from the airport (Orlando) to the holiday villa we have rented next month.
TIA

Sometimes I wonder...
"why is that frisbee getting bigger?"
...and then it hits me
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Jesus loves you...A nice thing to hear in church, but a horrible thing to hear in a Mexican prison
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

I suspect the tablet is not compatible with a wireless dongle.
What if you use your/friend's phone as a wifi hotspot? Can the tablet see that wifi signal?0 -
OK
have now managed to connect my phone and the tablet.
Have looked at the android forum recommended above, so am now looking at the best way to utilise a sat-nav or (equivalent) without GPS - any ideas?
TIA

Connecting your tablet to the phone is called 'tethering' - beware you may be charged for this.
To use sat nav you will need a 'bluetooth gps receiver'.0
