There were murmurs of this in the budget but it looks to have become more concrete so keep an eye out for those fixed rate deposits

The Coventry online saver 2 (2%) and Coventry Poppy Instant ISA (2.6%) I opened last week have both been withdrawn already.
Now its 1.6%, and no instant ISA at all for new investors.

I don't think the government can believe how difficult it is to inflate away the debt, certainly UK derived rather than imported.
Just imagine if you had explained what has happened to anyone ten years ago, they'd probably have locked you up!0 -
