We were walking past the Body Shop today and DH asked in a puzzled tone what Body Butter was. I thought about it for a while and decided that his big tub of Aqueous Cream is Body Margerine, so Body Butter is the posh (and expensive) equivalent. :rotfl:
Aqueous cream is the basis for many more expensive creams, lotions and potions. However, I love the idea of it being body margarine!Do not allow the risk of failure to stop you trying!0 -
just a quick update, still using champneys cracked heel cream and feet are looking good. Still do the Newtons pumice block once a week and moisturise a plenty. If anyone has struggled like me then use FIREFLY S tip and try products with urea.0

Hi all I got the Avon cream - half price as it was a display one but had only been used on me - and have been using it day and night and it has helped alot. I find if I have socks on my feet are fine but as soon as I start going bare foot a lot they dry up like anythingThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

Urea... is that why Spike Milligan's army sergeant used to tell the men to p*** in their boots when they got blisters? :rotfl:My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
I use vaseline and cling film works brilliantly and lets your feet breathe as the socks are tooooooooo hot!0

Get a Newtons foot block from Boots etc. It is a little hard black block in a case. You put soap on it and rub it on your heels. Best thing by far i have ever used. Lasts ages as well. On my first one and i've had it about 6 months.

I have enjoyed reading this thread ,and it reminded me of the time my feet were the smoothest since I was a child.
A few yrs ago I was having a pedicure on the beach in Thailand, I was busy chatting to my sister so did not take too much noticed when the beautician showed me something that looked like a veggie peeler. I just said yes please and carried on chatting. After a couple of minutes my sis looked down to see my soles being peeled  I was shocked but facinated to see the 'slices' of hard skin laying on the floor. I did let her finish but could not believe how soft my soles were! I have never seen anyone else do this before or since.
Sorry if I have put people of their foodLOL

Both my daughter and my husband have problems with dry and cracked skin on their feet for years.
The BEST cream ever has been Pure Coconut Oil.
Some companies will try to sell you expensive 'pure virgin coconut oil' but we have found that the pure coconut oil from Holland and Barrett (in a big tub for £10) works just great. It looks semi solid but as soon as you put it on your skin it becomes liquid. Use it every day to begin with and then as required. It's amazing.
Thanks for the tip. Off to Holland and Barratt to buy this.0 -
My feet are made out of E45 cream!0
