Mib debt

The money that the judge ordered as compensation would have been the money that MIB paid to them. So they only get one lot lo.
Maybe not fair but the man was running about with no insurance.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
obviously i'm being a bit dim, i just don't get why this MIB gets involved in the first place. i would just assume that if i were in a car crash and the other party were uninsured/bu**ered off from the scene then my own insurance would pay out for my damage?? do MIB maybe recompensate the insurance company after they've paid out?
i just know that we never heard from them again, but we were obviously just lucky, plus added to the fact that both my idot boyfriend and the idot in the other car were racing at the time, maybe the other guy didn't pursue it any further incase he got into trouble? plus it might have been complicated by the fact that the other guy actually hit my bf from behind so it could have been argued that it was his fault in the first place.
i dunno, we just lost the car, paid the council in instalments and got on with life, never even gave them a second thought!
OP - hope you get it sorted. someone else said that MIB wanted to put a charging order on their house if they wanted to pay lower instalments than they demanded. i don't think this would be such a bad thing if your kids are still young and you don't have any intention to move. what can you afford to pay them?
i know it's pure cr*p, but don't let it affect your health, no debt is worth that."never look down on anyone.....unless you're helping them up"0 -

Not all insurance companies will pay for damage to your vehicle if you're hit by an uninsured driver. They actually sell that as a feature in adverts, so that shows that it's a selling point and not every company offers it.
Plus why should my insurance company pay for the damage committed by an uninsured driver? And why should my policy go up in price? What will your verse be?
