Has anyone had their marriage annulled?

Following on from my other thread, I'm looking into annulment (we had a Catholic wedding).
Has anyone done this or do you know anyone who has?
What does it involve?
Does it take long?
What are the conditions that have to be satisfied?
I've googled for info, but would appreciate hearing about real life experiences or getting advice from those in the know.
Thanks in advance xx

Sorry to hjack another thread but WTH?!
the other person had a sexually transmitted disease when you got married
Why would that be a reason for an annulment...:cool:People don't know what they want until you show them.0 -

So in effect if you both agree to say you never had sex your annulled! There's no proving that ... unless you have a child!0

OP, are you talking about 'annulment' in the civil sense, or in the Catholic sense?
You've been given a link which talks about annulment in the civil sense.
It's a different procedure to get an annulment from the Catholic church.
The bottom line, I suppose, is why do you want an annulment rather than a divorce? If it's for religious reasons, then you'll need to go the Catholic church route.
If it's because you want to wipe out any trace of your marriage, then either route might work. I doubt if either will be easy, I'm afraid.0 -
Both. And I don't expect it to be easy, but I think that there may be grounds...Life is a gift... and I intend to make the most of mine :A
