Our bed stripped, floor cleared and clean clothes all put away, dressing table tidied, bedside tables cleared and more washing gathered up. Poor wm will be worn out this week, utility can hardly hold everything.
Right best go get DS3 changed and hopefully OH will be finished and we can go get brackets for the chicken coop before the door falls off.“Life is short, live it. Love is rare, grab it. Anger is bad, dump it. Fear is awful, face it. Memories are sweet, cherish it.”0 -
I'm going to try and get back into it this week. There's been too much procrastinating over getting it done meaning it's gone on all week and I've done nothing useful at all!
So - Flylady here I come! x:eek:0 -
Thanks for the list Dusty.
Got the kitchen done last night so I was hoping to be able to cross some jobs off the list this morning, but it's not kitchen day:(. Nevermind, I'll post a list now and get on with it when I'm back from work. Might do a meal plan whilst I eat lunch today then declutter DH to the shops later!

Nope. I didn't realise I needed them! It's just that muslin is so fine it keeps slipping while I'm preparing it for the machine. I may have to go back to tacking, my least favourite job. I also now realise that having bought 2m of muslin, what I really need is either calico or cheesecloth. Fortunately there's an excellent new fabric shop just around the corner with a super-helpful lady who is a fount of all knowledge. I'm going to ask her advice.
Just in case anyone knows the answer to this problem, can I chuck a question out there? I have a 40 year old Crown Point Automatic, a fabulous workhorse of a machine. It's supposed to go into reverse if I press a big button with R on it, but I just can't seem to get it to do it. Does anyone have any tips?
Mt5 - hugs. Sounds as though you're having a really challenging time.Better is good enough.0 -
Honey Bear, did the reverse work and has now stopped? And have you had your machine serviced lately? Might be that something's got jammed. The machine I'm using has a reverse button and it has to be pressed quite hard. Hope that helps.
If anyone wants me this evening, after the paid stuff, I will be clearing up after yesterday's vintage fair and utilising cupboard space. Since we actually have some :rotfl:‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Not much to show for a morning's work, but the one important, long overdue, newsy email to my friend is now done.
DH needs lunch now, before he goes to work. Than I'll do everything else this afternoon, apart from the HHI which can wait until this evening when he's out again.
Where's my social life gone?
Big (((hugs))) to Mumto50
