PlayTrade... accidental refund

HI all,

I've been using Playtrade for a while along with ebay, however I listed 2 similar items and they both sold within a couple of days of each other, I got an email off one of the buyers saying they wasnt happy with the condition, although it was excellent! So I thought Id be nice and agree to give a refund if he returned the item,

The item was returned and then I clicked through for the refund

Only to accidently refund the wrong item...

So now I've refunded the second buyer and I am effectively about 70 quid down as I've sent an item and now have no funds for it, I've emailed play and asked them to reverse the transaction as it was a mistake but they have said they have asked the buyer - and are yet to recieve a response, so clearly hes gone quiet in the hope it wasnt noticed

Where do I stand with this? Can I force play to collect the payment again, or get them to make the seller return the item? Or do I have to take this one on the chin as a loss?

Play can't just take a payment without permission of the holder or force them to return anything. You'll have to hope the seller is honest and rectifies your mistake.

He has given permission as he was bought the item and agreed to pay for it, if they got in there early enough they could have cancelled the refund from going through, as I imagine its gone through they would need to charge his card again which makes things a bit harder, not sure what i stand as play arnt being very helpful, as always

He bought and paid for the item, then you refunded it. Play can't go around charging people's cards willy nilly.
