You need to go into the NVidia Control Panel and set up multiple displays.

    so take it is this

you have latest drivers and software installed?
use the auto driver link second one down and update if not bang upto date.

reckoning after that you need to goto properties of the card as mirror image for second display as the same if you where doing for a laptop but you will need to select the hdmi as the output rather than it prob pushing auto out the other dvi socket.

Plug the other end of the HDMI cable into your laptop (you didn't say that in your post ho ho). I'm guessing you have Windows7. Have you cycled monitors with Windows key+P (that's Windows key pressed at same time as P) ?

This may sound daft but just make sure the hdmi cable is fully pushed into place.

I often connect my laptop to my tv and on a couple of occasions I've found that I haven't got a signal because the tv end isn't fully in place

    Just a thought.

Are you sure the TV is switching to the HDMI input that you've plugged the computer in to?

My TV has 4 HDMI inputs, if I turn on the device plugged in to HDMI 2, 3 or 4 it does not reliably automatically switch to that input, especially if the device in HDMI 1, Humax Freeview recorder, is on.

I often have to select the correct input on the TV Menu to use the XBox etc.

If you haven't already done this, download and install the latest driver for the Geforce 550 GTI from here
