Hi I bought an expensive item from Argus outlet on 19th April Another person has requested a return /cancellation of this order without my knowledge on 20th. I got a notification to my surprise in my ebay messages.
They asked for the refund to go to ***.coetzee@ *******net.com I have no idea who this person is. I have cancelled the refund and contacted the seller asking them to proceed with the transaction (and to confirm that they were not going to refund and would still ship). I have emailed the person saying I have stopped their request on my order and reported them to ebay for transaction interference. I will change my password on my ebay account, but please can you advise me if there is anything else I should do. There seems to be nothing in paypal to report this kind of thing?
Sorray about spelling - I'm a little upset

Names should not be mentioned here.
This doesn't make much sense to me.
Sounds like they had "hacked" your Paypal or Ebay account which is very serious. That's the only way I can see that they could have done this.
Refunds via PayPal refund facility automatically go back to the payee & cannot be re-routed to a different paypal address.
The seller should not agree to any request to do any differently by manual means (ie "send a payment").
How did you find out about it ?

OK - I have edited the name
I found out about is because I have an ebay return case update message in my messages. Imagine my surprise as I had not done any returns
opened it to find that he wanted to cancel the purchase and have a refund sent to the email listed
According to ebay find member he is a current member
 Have emailed paypal now0

Absolutely no point in emailing paypal for two reasons. Firstly if you have issues with your security then your email may also be hacked and any response from paypal may go to the hacker. Secondly, they rarely give any sensible advice on an email.
You also need to be concentrating on your security here as well, if someone has hacked you then you need to deep clean your PC immediately, the techie board will be able to help with that.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Are you sure its not a spam email? Have you checked in Ebay rather than your email?0

            Thanks all of you
Yes it is not spam- it was in ebay messages
PC security fine. I was actually buying a laptop ironically, as mostly I use my work PC which works remotely through a German server so secure I cannot even get on it sometimes!!!
So no chance of keystroke logs
In actual fact if there is risk I think it will have come through ebay on android, which stores all passwords etc so I am removing it from my tablet. I did recently read about the android platform being a fave with hackers. I guess I should have done something then!0
