Royal Mail Missing Parcels - Stolen from Doorstep or PO Cart

Lots of complaints here about missing / lots parcels via budget couriers but I have experience of same via Royal Mail.
Left on Doorstep
Over christmas I had several deliveries of parcels where the parcel postman didn't wait for me to answer the door and just left parcels on my doorstep. I have been compaining to RM about this for years. It's usually worse at Xmas. I am normally at home but not always and consequently I had 3 parcels go missing over the holidays all sent by Royal Mail.
Small Parcel Stolen
Small parcels or "packets" are usually delivered by the letter postman. Sometimes he can fit them in his bag but often they get left in his trolley till after he has delivered the letters. One time the postie knocked and said he had a parcel for me. I have never found out where this chap is from as he doesn't usually talk to me. My "Good Mornings" and "Thank you's" get no response. So the conversation went something like this: I said "Yes ....where is it ?" ...."Trolley" ..."Do you want me to come with you to get it ?" ... (no answer) .."look I have no shoes on...Knock me when you have finished and I'll come and get it."
I waiited the rest of the day - no knock. I call RM Customer Services who said he should not leave the trolley unattended but offerred no solution. Next day he knocks with a "Crime Number" written in pencil on a scrap of paper and says "stolen". I go mildly ballistic and question him. I gather that someone had broken into the trolley. I call RM Customer Services again to complain - again it's pointless.
I was expecting several parcels so it took some time to figure out which order it was. I got a refund from the seller who then had to go to the trouble to make a claim.
2nd instance of this
Walking to my local post office I notice a postie's trolley chained up to a railing outside a large block of flats. 20 - 25 mins later on my way back the trolley has gone but scatted all along the street (a quiet residential back street) is littered with crushed empty boxes, packing nuts, bubble wrap etc.
With more cubes being used which won't fit in the postie's bag this problem will get worse especially in large cities. Royal Mail needs to do something about it. My complaints have just been shugged off.
When cmplaining about lack of customer service by courier company's just bear in mind the couldn't care less attitude of our own dear Royal Mail who then make sellers you jump through hoops to clainm and make you wait so long for their "compensation" (sic)
