Travelex Price Match Offer

JMcC

I've just bought $USD from Travelex and duly sent an e-mail asking to claim a refund based on their price match offer.

Any idea how long it will take Travelex to respond, and if there is any doubt that they will actually give a refund ?

I got $1.9223 to the £ from Travelex, but could have got $1.97 from Link (although I have no idea how to actually purchase from Link).

Has anyone had a refund recently ?

I got a price match from travelex a few weeks ago for USD and they got back to me by email within a few hours. You get a refund of the difference by cheque and I received it in a week or so. Lovely lady there....

I price matched with Thomas Exchange Global

Per some earlier posts in MSE site, I was pointed to Travelex's price match offer. Link is a website ([Link Foreign Exchange]) which seems to always have a really good rate. Although I am not sure how you would actually buy from them, it is possible that you need to visit their office in London, but really not sure.

So buy from Travelex, then claim on their price match offer seems to be a good plan, assuming they are always a little worse than the best you can find.

I've now received an e-mail reply from Travelex, confirming they will send a cheque. Great result and so simple. From sending note late last night, just a couple of hours to get the confirmation.

Great service from Travelex, who are as good as their word.

This is a great example of this site working. For little effort, I have achieved a real saving at no cost or downgraded service. Fantastic.

Thanks for pointing this out JMcC - just ordered some $ & you've saved me a bit of cash

EDIT: Heard back from Travelex within 45 mins with a price match to Link FX & telling me cheque will be in the post!

The offer only applies up £2,500, which is no good for me i'm talking of sums over £5,000 at a time

Even more delighted now. Could hardly believe my eyes, but the cheque arrived in the post this morning (Saturday).

I ordered the cash Thursday night, claimed on the price match offer on Friday morning, got the cheque Saturday. Marvellous.

they are a good company , in my dealings with them they have been prompt and hassel free. i once had to send a price match offer E mail twice , but the 2nd one was answered very quickly , so no biggie .
