I want a newish good looking car which will not break everytime and + I am interested in starting earning no claim bonus

Have you worked out how much you can afford (per month/ per year/ whatever)? And bear in mind any change in circumstances over the lifetime of the lease (what if your income goes significantly up or down, or you no longer need a car, or you need a different vehicle?)

Once you have a budget, you can start looking at deals.

If I've understood you right, your up-front costs are going to be £1k deposit + the value of the MG + £300 up front for the insurance.

The £131/ month on the lease, £94/ month on the insurance and £15/ month servicing plan. That's £240/ month.

So by the end of year 1, you will have paid £4180, plus the value of the MG.

How much is the MG worth? Add the £1k deposit to it and see what sort of used car you could buy for that kind of money. With a warranty if you prefer. The insurance will be cheaper and you're £131/ month better off with no leasing costs.

Put that £131 in a pot and at the end of the year, I'll eat my hat if you've spent it on repairs.

    Now you own the car.

So, OP you're already overspending on the £1000 per month take home salary, but you think committing a quarter of it for a car and insurance is a good idea. That's before maintenance/tyres/fuel etc.

    Utter madness.

ZR has an engine problem which is very expensive to fix so need to get read of it anyway, if I insure myself as first driver on the car it will cost me about £300 a month, the deal includes insurance only if you hjave 2 years of NCB
Head gasket? That's only around £400 to fix max, just do that.

The JAF offers are a con - often the car can be leased from elsewhere for much less, although i have just realised they are charging you extra for everything above the car, so it must be a straight finance deal.

    https://www.lingscars.com - pug 107 £136.43 per month with £409.29 up front = £5320 over 3 years.

Alternatively a skoda citygo (better car than the 107) can be had for £117 p/m plus £351 up front so £4563

Citroen are doing an offer on the C1 with free insurance for over 19's with 2 yrs NCB - you may be able to do a deal and pay something extra to get the insurance deal

is that lingscars website for real??
would anybody trust it to lease a car from? looks like a totally amateurish scam site to me. i suppose if it is all above board they are just aiming for a particular part of the market.
    incredible:eek:

I've had 2 cars from Ling and I'll be using her again come September. Flawless transactions each time. Audi and Honda.

The website is admittedly a bit 'quirky'. :)

And no, I'm not a relative.

Yes, she's highly reputable, believe it or not!

And how do you get the website to SHUT UP!?
