hi
Does anyone who has been recenlty know if the splashworld is closed on Mondays and Fridays?
I just looked online at booking day tickets as we have an INSET day coming up and it seemed to say splashwater world was closed mon and fri BUT not sure if this is just closed to day visitors or closed to everyone on those days?
I know at Haven sites the flumes close on Mon / Friday ie changover days but the rest of the pool is open - is this the same at Butlins?
I have booked a weekend at Butlins Skegness in Aug and to get the most out of these hols we usually aim to spend all day there on the Friday and the Monday using the pool for half of the day on these days ... is this possible at Butlins as it is at Haven?
thanks

its open but the hours are shorter on these days due to people booking in and out. The best time to go is on a Friday as it is quiet due to a lot of people still arriving. It may be best to ring and check as it may be closed for maintenance, but i don't see what they can be doing it is new.
Thanks for the link to vouchers we are going in a few weeks and normally go to the seal sanctuary0 -
when you go they usually give you a family return voucher for £15 (2x adult, 2x kids) ,if they don't give one remember to ask if there are any, not been this year yet but they always have in the past0

I know Butlins do the day visitor passes BUT if you are staying at Butlins can people come and visit you without the day pass? or do you have to buy the pass?

Just got my booking confirmation - now need to decide if i want to upgrade from standard..
is standard apartment ok at Skegness? we usually do haven and stay in standard caravans which we find ok...
and also am i brave enough to take the entertainment passes off? I would save £50.... and all the other threads seem to say you don't need them at Butlins....
arghghg.....
excited and scared

Thanks for this, will be looking out for your update. We've got Skegness booked for July but in term time so can only stay two days. I've had the charge for the passes taken off as it makes it too costly for two day's stay. If the weather is good we'll be on the beach mainly but am hoping we can use the new pool and the fairground without passes.
The girl I spoke to was really nice but did try to persuade me to have the passes. She seemed suspicious until I said we're from Leeds so the beach is a real novelty for us and weather permitting we would be on the beach. I did ask if we could pay for passes on arrival if the weather was iffy and I was told we could at the same price.
So reading between the lines from the phone conversation I would say you don't need passes because they really wanted me to pay for them. If you genuinely needed them it would not have been such an issue.0
