mk2 ford focus rear bumper

Options
Hi:money:

The rear right side of my 3dr focus seems to have a gap larger than on the left side, where the bumper joins the main body. It isn't loose, or shaking, but there is a visible gap. I guess over time it may worsen (though I've done long motorway journeys with no change). Though I have heard a noise, which may be coming from that region, not all the time, though, it could be just due to the age of the car?

Has anyone experienced this with their zetec? Do you think it's worth sorting - I guess it's a case of tightening the screws of the bumper? Any idea of the charges (for what I presume is a quick job)?

  • larger gap than at the otherside usually means the support bracket has either corroded and lost its strengh or it been hit and bent and the clips have broken.

not a big job, and not something i would be overly fussed about having done.

a body shop may charge you an hours labour plus parts if required.
