swapping virgin red for virgin black

I have a Virgin red card. I want to have a Virgin Black for airmiles now.

I do not have a balance.

is this possible or do I have to apply for a new card?

Quickest thing would be to ring the, up but I believe this is separate and would require a new application.

The air miles cards are white or black and run by mbna so I think they might actually be totally separate, if your card is a virgin bank one.

Thanks. I think they are both MBNA. I will try them tomorrow.

Just in case anyone is researching this at a later date.

Unfortunately it involves a new application. However I can transfer the existing credit limit to the new card once it has been issued.
