Well i did buy the groceries today, however as hubby came with me and he is def not MSE, we overspent, so hubby paid and i gave him £20 towards it. But come next week when he is back at work i will be doing the shopping so i can feel less guilty then.
Antenatal class tomorrow and we have to take our own lunch so will be spending again and as my appetite is huge at the mo, it could be expensive.SPC 18 Target £200 /0 -

I agree with Laconic - this is only my first week doing this, but it is really making me think about what I am spending!!
So far this week it has been £11.38/£20!
Thinking about what I would usually spend (a coffee every day, lunch every day, snacks every day, random things I spotted during lunch breaks) - that's something to be proud of for meAdmittedly this week has been a bit easier as the first two days I wasn't in the UK, however knowing I can go a whole day without spending money makes it seem possible to do a feel week.

Laconic and GemmaN - I've been doing this for a few months now and am still amazed at how much it keeps me in check :A
flyinggiraffe - I never quite know what to do these days when people ask me to go for unbudgeted lunches and coffees. It's lovely to be asked but fair messes up the spending challenge :rotfl:
Sooooo, I bought hair dye today and spent £10.50 (the type I use is being discontinued so got 3 boxes for £3.50 each).......but I made £10 on FB sale yesterday so only taking 50p out of this week's budget - hope that's allowed
£3.50 / £100
Tomorrow is when I expect the rest of the budget will be used up but it will be lots of fun  :j :beer:SPC Member #112 :A Save £2k in 2014 # 160 :money:0 -
Not been so good a day today: got dragged out to lunch despite packing lunch. Normally, I'd buy a full meal but this time, just soup and a roll so £1.75. One of my friends is having a bit of a crisis, so I treated him to an early dinner. For the both of us £17.00 (he did want to pay, but I wouldn't let him). Add on £3 for loo roll for the house and my total for the day is £21.75
Total this week: £40.79/50 Better shop lean tomorrow...LBM: June 2023. Amount owed: ~£10,000I've gone debt free before, I can do it again!0
