EDF account i credit £200+
Options
My father's energy account has been in £200+ credit since August 2012 in each quarter of the bill. (Nov, Feb)
EDF seem hesitant on refunding his money.
He pays around £78 x 12 = £936.00 in total and the latest bill generated leaves him £330 in credit (after they asked for a meter reading - April).
Anyone else have problems asking for a refund?
They seem very hesitant.

I am with Southern electric, and they always pay me the money back if i am in credit, no problems.
I think you should just ask them for it.0 -

We will automatically credit your bank or building society account with a refund at your annual review if your credit balance is over £150 or more. However you can still contact our team at anytime to discuss your account balance.0

EDFs terms and conditions state that on the yearly review they will credit you if your balance is over £150. I got my refund without trying ( i was expecting to have to call them) and also my dd was reduced. Ring them again refer them to their own terms and conditions and ask about their complaints procedure at the same time. Your fathers dd should also be significantly reduced. The other option is to tell them to stuff their direct debit and pay quarterly!Grocery Challenge Feb 16 £346 /4000
