We're told that if you apply for credit, and you've been linked financially with somebody else, they will search the other party's file. But the other party won't have given permission for that.
Doesn't this blow the myth that you have to give permission for a credit search?

When you do a credit search, the information for anyone who you are financially linked to appears on your file, it's not separate. So the lender is only searching YOUR file, but the financial associates details are also on there.0 -
When opening any joint, account all signatories would presumably have given consent for an association to be created on the CRAs, and hence accepted the consequences of such an association?Still rolling rolling rolling......
