Excel - Cleared out of Parc Tawe N Swansea

A recent visit confirms that Excel are not longer infesting Parc Tawe N. The status of Parc Tawe S is unclear, except for the presence of new pay machines, and a notice stating the Parc Tawe S is not connected to the N site.
This is an infamous ex-Excel location. With a exhibition hothouse, cinema, bowling alley, pizza outlets and numerous shops, it was trivially easy to "overstay". Many local Swansea people were caught and sadly a lot i know paid Excel.
On the N site, the Excel notices have gone (the ones with tiny tiny writing), but the cameras and monkey hut remain. Also left are a couple of "Three hour free parking, payable thereafter" signs that went up most recently. What has caused them to leave, I wonder? Jump or push?
How can I get a FOI request on the original planning status of this site?

I don't think you need to do an FOI here - Simply contact the planning dept of the appropriate council directly.0

Haven't been in that part of Swansea in a while . But I think they were fed up of that car park, considering it cost them a three month ban from dvla access, now I wonder who reported them to mike butler at the dvla ?

By the way on the Parc Tawe South, have they removed the signs that say they issue fines or penalties ?When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

Seems to be a different outfit in at Parc Tawe S. - with presumably a pay-to-park regime being put in place. At the moment its free and seemingly "unmanaged". And do you know what - nothing bad has occurred. It seems the absence of a "parking company' has no affect whatsoever on how easy / hard it is to park.By the way on the Parc Tawe South, have they removed the signs that say they issue fines or penalties ?
Hmmm, i wonder what purpose parking companies serve?Under no circumstances may any part of my postings be used, quoted, repeated, transferred or published by any third party in ANY medium outside of this website without express written permission. Thank you.0 -
They have no purpose at all, having excel in the north car park makes no sense, because to get into Swansea from there you have basically got to go through the other one to get there. And there is nothing nearby that you would leave your car there for a protracted period.
As for the new machines in the south car park, that is utterly stupid, Parc Tawe is dying a slow death, and there are a load of units empty, how will a pay and display car park help there? It failed miserably last time, and if you remember back then that was why the retailers were screaming to get rid of them. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. The good news is, as it is a new sign, they have no excuse for being non-compliant.
I see the wording is still awful:
"Failure to comply with the following may result in a parking charge:
ANPR Enforcement in operation at all times"
So I read that as...if the ANPR fails, you are liable for a parking charge.

The signs were tiny, and I had to zoom in to see anything. Put this way I couldn't read the sign without taking the image first then enlarging it on my phoneWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
