the old school will be around for a while yet. FWIW just keep going, bear in mind if they realise you are going to dip out and go contracting then that may go against you too. Sometimes office politics works in odd ways, maybe you will get something better next time around, don't always assume that being on the high profile projects is all that counts, especially when they go tits up0

I know a very good cobol programmer, only problem is he lives in Kanasas City, I do know he was looking to relocate...
Edit: I've used my joker card now.. i've contacted a friend who works in HR at one of the 'big four' city firms.. i've now applied for a job there.. watch this space0
