Single parents in Stoke-on-T

Hi...I am a 37 year old male whose ex partner has just decided she can no longer look after our baby boy (we split up six weeks ago after I found out she had another boyfriend in Kent she would go on holidays with under the guise of being in the RAF Reserve!) and wants me to have residency...
I would just like to see if there are any other single parents, male or female, in North Staffs or anywhere who would like to get in touch as I am not from S-o-T and feel somewhat isolated....I looked after him for most of his life but now I am really on my own!
Hope to hear from some people soon!
Ash

Hi, sorry to hear what has happened to you. How old is the little one, if he is under 5 perhaps you could join a Sure Start in your area. I too am a single mum from staffs and know that the SureStart ethos is to include single fathers as well. I would be happy to chat to you if you want to pm me, perhaps we can come up with some ideas that are local to this area for you.
Or as mentioned before there is Gingerbread (i think it is in Burslem - def in yellow pages though).

    Hi Ash

I'm not a single parent but I do live in Tunstall with 2 LOs. I have quite a lot to do with Surestart so I can fill you in with details if you like. PM me if you want to chat or if you want to try any groups out and want some company.
