Changing address while on CIFAS protective registration?

redonion
After having some documents stolen, I'm considering getting CIFAS Protective Registration.
Aggravatingly, this has happened days before I move flats (not to mention shortly before I hope to apply for a mortgage)!
Does anybody know what I'm going to have to go through if I register with CIFAS now and then have to change my address with everybody?
One small blessing is that I have a good relationship with my current landlord, and I should be able to get access to post arriving at the old address for a month or two.

Sorry I have no info on your question but I do think that no matter how good your relationship with your landlord he/she will want to rent the property out again and could not possibly ask a new tenant to pass on the old tenant's mail.
Well it's worth an ask.....but doesn't mean you will get.....0 -

with the post, surely you can still get the Post office to do forwarding?
I've paid for a years on my old place. £62 for the whole family IIRC.The smaller the monkey the more it looks like it would kill you at the first given opportunity.

I still haven't sorted out whether I should do CIFAS, but for the benefit of people searching the forum later: So far I've asked Lloyds TSB to flag my account re the issue. Apparently that means that if you go in to the bank in person, it'll take longer than normal, and you'll be asked for ID. The lady at the information desk was able to attach a note to my records noting my particular circumstances (i.e. that I'm changing address at the same time as having had these documents stolen). I did get fairly conflicting advice from different people at the bank at different times. One girl on the phone said there was nothing they could do to flag the account -- this is untrue.0 -
Post Office forwarding your mail, notes on your credit files warning of possible attempts at identity fraud/ stolen documents. Do not rely on the landlord or next tenants to forward mail.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
