Thanks christine154, got it today and its !!!!!!! HUGE! The yanks dont do thing by half's that for sure!!!

For me wash performance is on a par with my old washer IF I use the same washing liquid! Just washed my duvet and to be honest it could do with going through another wash programme but it is big so ill try it again!

First impressions, big, strong, sturdy and gives the impression that it will last for years without fault...... Mmmmm, only time will tell!

I have a top loader at my house in Florida and as said it is great for big loads or bulky items such as comforters.

However-I do wonder what all that thumping with the paddles does against clothes with long term use. I'm only there 2-4 weeks at a time.

Certainly coloured items are usually fine-but light coloured items that get food stains on-don't seem to give up their stains as readily.

This may be the short programmes or the washing powder/liquid-I'm not sure.

Having said that-all the household towels are stain free-so it must be doing something right.

Ah well, I'll give it a go!

If it costs too much or turns out to be rubbish ill flog it on.....

    Hi,

Is your washing machine any good? I've been thinking about getting one of these Top Loading American Machines. I want a large capacity one, you said yours is 10.1kg, but they are advertised as tested at 7.5kg - I'm confused.

Also the energy efficency is way down the list, but do I really care?
