Have seen a house we like but have never come across this before. Is there anything we should be aware of?

As Errata said there are some potential issues with PRC houses however a lot depends on what has been done and when the house was build.
For example we are seeing an increase in developments of concrete housing now pumped between polystyrene to allow super low U Values. have you got any information on the tyoe of concrete build.0 -
Have you got a photo or a rightmove link? Someone may be able to tell you the actual brand of construction and then you can find out about mortgage implications. Is it ex-local authority housing?
Some properties have had remedial works done to make them safe and mortgageable, but you have to check the work has been properly certified otherwise your lender may not accept it.0 -

The mortgage company will want to know exactly what type of property construction it is - they have brand names like Airey, Cornish Unit, Reema, Unity, Wimpy No-fines etc, and they probably won't commit to anything until they know this. Also, if certain work has been done, it may be fine and they may be happy to lend on it BUT as I said, you need proof of the work and confirmation it has been done to mortgageable standard.
Do you have the postcode - we can check it out on Google Street view and someone may be able to give you a name for it?0 -

That's because people on here live all over the country and in different types of housing, there as the EA works for the vendor to sell the property.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

I have a Nationwide guide which sets out the construction types/names and their mortgageability in unrepaired and repaired conditions.

A google search suggests concrete houses in the Nottingham area are "no fines" construction so possibly that."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0
