ebay search broken?

I am going to have to limit my threads today as I have a dozen things to whinge about and will fill the whole first page!

Ebay search appears to be broken. I have three large boxes of china to sort through so as usual I am checking ebay listings to decide whether to keep to sell, car boot or charity shop the stuff. However, my searches are returning nothing in some cases, even for common china- and it shows nothing listed. Yet if I do a Google search using the same search terms the first page is full of links to ebay listings- and they are all there. It's driving me crazy.

It's like looking for 'blue Wedgwood' and getting only 3 returns when there are in fact thousands.

Also, someone appears to have swiched my ID off, I usually make a few steady sales every day , I have sold nothing now for nearly 48 hours- what is going on, have I lost my TRS visibility already?

I had problems today too. It wouldn't let me contact a buyer, and I'm sure someone has switched off all my listings

There is a thread on the eBay boards about lack of sales. It seems some sellers listings aren't visible

Has eBay finally started to fall apart ?

Thank you but I wasn't really looking for blue Wedgwood, I tend to use Wedgwood as a way of disguising what I am really looking to sell- the Wedgwood market died for me years ago and I can't even give the stuff away now.

I wouldn't be surprised...

Can I also add a mini whinge that tinypics appears to have died now as well- so far what with ebay and tinypics it has taken me about 2 hours to check a few dozen items and list less than half a dozen.

Hmm, I've read some of the threads on the community boards and I've done some trial searches on my own goods, and half the time they are not showing up in searches .

I've no issues on my dashboard, at least 4.9 on my stars and I hold TRS, so where are my listings? I'm only pleased that I don't rely on eBay for all my income.

I've been doing my own promotions for selling stuff on Ebay especially. It obviously isn't the goods as they sell well enough on Amazon and I have little competition on either. Sales patterns on Ebay are certainly more erratic than anywhere else.

As for searches, Ebay have recently purchased a search tool and are planning to upgrade searching, I'd assume they're trialling it.

I'm finding that rather than selling 5 items a day, I'm struggling to sell one item every three days at the moment. Its as if all my listings have just disappeared (they haven't, I've checked lol).

Get someone in another part of the country to check. According to the Ebay forums, some sellers can see their own listings, but other people can't.

Ebay searches have been broken on and off since the middle of February. Some weeks all I can get is blank pages and others it works normally. When the blank pages occur, a comment box appears asking for opinions on the 'new search facility'.

Just a normal situation when Ebay decide to improve things
