No Negative or Neutral Feedback allowed for Powerseller

Just tried to post neutral feedback to a supplier. We were dissatisfied with both the goods supplied, and the response of the seller when I spoke to him on the telephone. E-bay will not allow me to post this until at least 7 days have passed as he is a "Powerseller", does anyone know why?.

It is to give them time to sort it out.
It is because the negs and the stars do really affect the seller (especially the stars) so they are encouraging buyers to contact the seller first.

But why should this apply to just Powersellers?0

The problem is that ebay are too hard on powersellers, 0.5% is the upper boundary for most categories, i.e. if more than 1 in 200 buyers is unhappy, they lose powerseller status. So its a small concession back to the powersellers where buyers would make no contact and just neg/leave bad stars.

You can leave any feedback you like after 7 days. Better rated sellers are given the opportunity to sort out any problems, 7 days is the cut off, I don't see it as such a big advantage. I'd assume you were at least 3 days into that 7 anyway..0

Gary.
You are confusing Powersellers with TRS.0 -
Maybe you should not be allowed to leave neg/neutral for any seller until you have messaged them and they have replied or ignored for 4 days. This can be automatic.0
