Well today started well.

Teenage boy was tasked with toasting muffins for breakfast while I finished up some last minute work.

Then following a small fire, an unrelenting and now smashed and broken smoke alarm, a slight hole in the ceiling, a bent broom and more than a hint of regret, the breakfast was finished.

How does anyone even begin to save money with a teenage boy in the house?!
