OH DEAR.
Car boot never happened. so back to the drawing board...
Monday 6 hour shift at work. tomorrow is a day off. must get down to the ebay thing again. need to have some plan going off making some little turn over.
Tuesday im looking forward to the house work in the morning and then in the afternoon meeting the grand children from school..0 -
Well it seems I have lost my mse way......
it seems a life time since I was counting each and every possible way of earning and saving money! its time I stopped messing around and sorted it out....
So today is day one of having a student stay for 2 weeks. this is something I do and I like to do. each year. it also helps the family budget. all monies collected is going towards my holiday.
I am regulary getting some extra shifts at work, so that comes in handy to help see us through the upside down world of debts and bills.
I really need to focus on my ebay. I still have a lot of items I could possibly sell on ebay.
im watching the food budget also. so we don't spend too much. trying to eat healthier too..0 -
All intentions were good until other half ended up in the hospital,
sometimes other things become more important......:(
still have my student, didn't like to send him to another home, as he likes it with us. well I think he does..
put a few things on ebay £16 collected for two bits. all adds up to my holiday fund.....
I've been planting some free plants into my garden pots this evening. my lovely brother donated them to me from his greenhouse. lol.... its nice to have a brother....
still watching the food budget. lets hope I don't spoke to much.0 -
Big changes ahead.
We have decided to move house next year. to reach our goal we need to do a lot of work on this house we own. it needs to return us a good amount of money. so where to start. this time next year I want to have a for sake board up outside. so time to plan ahead for our future adventure...moving to the seaside.
The house needs re plastering in at least 3 rooms. redecorating throughout and maybe re carpeting throughout. also the bathroom needs a new floor putting down. I did say a lot of work.
oh yeah and a driveway laying. not to mention the garden titivating ! all on a budget.
To add to the adventure we also need money to take with us to the new home which hopefully will come together at the back end of next year. a lot of changes.... life is about changes and we need to live a more quieter frugal life.... so our journey begins. In October it may be the very last holiday we get abroad. but to be living perminatly at the seaside will be all year round holiday.
things to do this week.
frugal shopping.
enter items to ebay
clear out wardrobe for charity shop.
start down sizing this house...
our new journey begins today.........................................0 -
knowing where to start....
My head is full of idea's, Onee year to get this new life on the road.
Still waiting for a new student to arrive. he's staying for two weeks. alittle money will be earnt there. Then after he's gone I can start stripping the walls ready for the plasterer. will need to know how much this is going to cost.
While the weather is good I want to stop on top of the garden, jobs to do on my days off from work.
Trying not to spend much money now. has I have a holiday booked and we want to enjoy it, as our last major holiday. The list is endless what the house needs cosmetically, im sure it will all come nice in the end. ready for the for sale board.
Any spare cash after the holiday money is saved is going into a pot for the alterations and the decorating. you need to put in what you want out of it...
Where im heading for I think we can live pretty cheaply. work a lass hours a week than now and still enjoy the life and the seaside..
I also wouldn't mind a allotment. I walked around the area a few days ago and took it all in. this is the life I want.... not city life....
So my list of jobs to do and cross off will soon be on here. my savings plan and my ideas to follow......
Ive always wanted something different and I need to make the move to make it happen.... who knows that business I always wanted may still come along.......................................................................0 -
Friday Feeling not!
Nope I haven't got the Friday feeling. maybe because ive got to work the weekend.
But one the plus side I have entered a few items on to ebay this morning. yay its a start.........................................................
So today ive
* Entered 8 items on to ebay.
* ate breakfast and made lunch so I don't buy anything on way to work today!
* drew a little money from ebay account and transferred into my savings account.
No over time at work but I'm thinking of starting doing a bit of cleaning work to help fill in the gaps. extra pennies I hope.
Could do with doing a car boot at some point. sure I have enough items. just need a free sunday and my daughters help.
working all day Saturday so my money making ideas will have to keep till then I guess. but my mind will be working.
jobs to do next week.
* arrange a day for carboot with daughter.
* keep topping up ebay.
* sort out items for the carboot.
* buy one item to rell sell.
* make a list of all the redecorations that need to be done.0 -
Morning ! I do sound lively but I can assure you i'm not. I've got up this morning to pay my credit cards monthly payment. I totally forgot to re register my new bank card. stupid me.... hope they will be back on track as direct payments now for next month.
Well the students I host have come and gone. the money as paid off our holiday in October and gave us some spending money too. just a bit more spending money to find and a jolly time we can have.
Still thinking of how I can make savings and cut down my spending. for our plans on redecorating this house and for the new plans of living by the seaside next year. I will keep you informed...
I'm off work this sunday I wonder if daughter will do a car boot this weekend with me. I haven't a car so really could do with the help..0 -
Right then...
My first task for raising £300. by 12th October withour using my wages.
Car Boot sale.
Ebay
coupons.
walking as much as poss.
food budget.
set menus.
use my mobile emergency only. no internet
this is my new task to raise the money for the first lot of redecoration of the house. getting it ready for sale. lets see how I do.
I will be surfing the net for anything free that I can use too. pricing up all the equipment I will need.
wish me luck.0 -
Today I have cashed in all my money from carbooting, ebaying and saving etc.... and changed it too. 460.00 in euros. that's £397. I have saved... yay..... so to the next mission..0
-
So.. a new mission. Our plans to sell this house in the spring. There is lots of decorating to do. I need to do it on the cheap but make it look lovely in the long run..
I need to start bringing my ideas together for each room. costing items and looking for freebees too! I have a lot of items in my house from various places we have travelled too. so I guess these things might just have to be packed away. Or sold.
I have been on a little saving mission today... little pennies all add up. don't they. saved myself about £2.50 in boots and saved myself £2.00 on my bus pass. that's £4.50 saving, best put that in my next mission pot towards my house renovations and our new life....
So I need to start getting my items onto ebay...... get some money returning... here we go!.0
