Friday night..... home alone.......
my rotaed day off today, spent in on a driving lesson ( £22)
had a good lesson for only the second one. was driving along major roads, turning left and going around round abouts. brill i was a little scared at first but soon got into it. cant wait till the next lesson. money might be the object for the next lesson. no pay day for two and a half weeks.
So have had hair cut and coloured it myself. always a cheaper option.
dd ebay items are selling tonight. she seems to know what to sell, shes very good. i have put a few items on ebay again today. lets hope alittle turn around will happen.
Not looking forward to this week end, im working two 12 hour shifts and another 6 1/2 hour shift monday, befor getting a day off. actually had 56hours work this week, and they was funny with me because i wouldnt do another shift at short notice the other day, who would actually want to say yeah il do 62 hours for peanuts, they are a joke at times.
next week i have 48 hour working week, without them asking me to step in, im just going to work the shifts she puts me on, picking up no extras. although the money is good at the end of the month, i still want to be alive to spend it.
so now thinking of getting a water meter fitted to save on a yearly bill, also need to contact virgin media. sort out my tv. phone and internet, im sure i can get it cheaper too. so things to get sorted for next week.
would like to get into the garden next week and tidy abit, need to be doing things that cost no money to save more..0 -
Monday,
Doesnt feel like the start of the week when ive been working all weekend! I know, a jobs a job, but mine is taking the michael at the minute, it doesnt feel like a nice job, will be looking into changing life style to fit in with job or changing job to fit in with life style. lol
Seem to be broke money wise. not alot left in my bank, cant see it lasting till the 28th, may have to attack my rainbow fund, yet its what its there for, emergencies. trying not to spend much anyway.
Im getting ready for work, on a late today, ergh, another one!
day off tomorrow, will be catching up with the house cleaning, the washing and the food shopping to help me through till the week end at least.
So if anyone has any good ideas of working part time but has ideas of making some extra money to top up my wages please let me know, dont know how long i can do my full time job for, think my back will give in before it happens......

Tuesday and a day off from work, had breakfast out this morning with the dd.2. had nice morning, then had to go food shopping, although i really should make a list, and stick to it! working shifts is hard as im at work when hes at home and vice versa, so planned menus are hard. Today ive shopped wisely hopeing it will last now till we both get paid again on the 28th of the month....
I've had to swipe my rainbow fund to pay for the shopping. as i thought my dh had more money than he had!
So i've tightend our belts and saved us some money, in the next year! i've took martins advice and telephoned the water company for a water meter! lets see if it works. we have decided the £31 a month we pay to put it into a jar and pay the 6monthly bill, all thats left is benefit to us!!!!Also i've telephoned the cable company and cancelled two set top boxes one in our bedroom and one in dd2 whos moving out soon anyway! savung £22 a month, thats a yearly saving of £264 already, pitty it goes from my dh account not mine. Ah well, a save is a save in my eyes!
So next thing to look at is getting my credit report looking better, its still looks drab and i cant see why!
Had a day off today, no work, got a few shifts this week, tired from last weeks 54 hours work! hopefully this next month will be alot easier on the purse strings.......
time to go and wash up the evening dinner pots, all have ate and ran, leaving me with the after math. a womans work ehh..0 -
Since i saw you all last, ive worked a 12 hour shift, now my day off today as gone so fast.. had a brilliant day spent with hubby and daughters, the evening as flown by. back to work tomorrow then working all weekend, two 12 hour shifts.

still thinking about my next mobile contract, thinking of tesco, as anyone got any ideas on this?
ready for bed now after ive read a few forums xx.0 -
Friday as been good to me.
I went on a driving lesson today. yay. i like driving. i hope i can pass one day.
well ive been very good, taking my sandwiches to work, instead of buying sandwiches in town, on my way to work.
Next week my aims are to
Carry on with my making my own sandwiches.
write down everything that i spend my money on.
sourse ebay items
enter ebay items onto net.
sort out charity shop items.
hoping for a quiet sunday and monday off work this week, makes a change, because ive worked alot of weekends recently..0 -
Bank holiday Monday.
Had two lovely days at home, cleaning and gardening and chilling,
got a lot done, lovely to be at home for a few days.
used all my product shop bought window cleaner up yesterday, so ive made my own with water and vinegar and guess what, clean windows! cheap....lol
ive just entered a old mobile phone of dd in to mobile website that buys old phones, that will be a nice little check in the next 10 days I guess. will pay towards her debts.
my own bills are to be sorted in the next few days. need to reshuffle a couple and cancel a subscription. save me alittle
ive got a very small budget for our shopping this next four weeks till next pay day. im going to try and feed us on £30.00 I know its very low but we both work shifts so maybe we can do it, I get a free lunch when at work all day so its just breakfast and sandwiches for tea for me... dh might be alittle different.
Still need to look at my ebay account and see if I can make some extra money. got a holiday booked and now need to pay for it. let the counting begin..0 -
topped up my bus pass on line. saved £3.75 by doing it on line

now I need to cancel my £14.99 a month subscription, and ive got a contract phone for £9.99 to cancel too. lets see if I can save on these..0 -
Tuesday.
Not a brilliant day. but I managed to cancel the Experian subscription saves me £14.99 a month. Ive tried to contact the mobile phone supplier about this £9.99 phone but cant seem to get any one to contact. still in progress with this one..........
Picked up an extra shift for later on in the week, it does mean I will be working to whole day shifts at work now, and a morning Friday, but on the plus side, I got Friday afternoon and sat and sunday off.
Was a little miffed again when I got my wage slip, still being emergency taxed. grrr. I thought I had sorted this out. grrr. I need the money to pay towards this holiday we have booked, so hoping next month the tax will be repaid to me.........grrr grrr and more grrr.
Still thinking of the next few weeks again till payday. am really going to tighten my belt, so to save money on anything I can.
scratched around at work tonight and saw a magazine that was printed in January, so I took it to read on the bus, its got some money saving ideas in and cheap meals for under £2... to make, lets see if I can actually make them.
well ive got some plants in the garden now, given to me by my big brother, free! flowers. should look nice in summer, I could do with a few tomato plants me thinks and maybe a hanging strawberry planter, that will keep me interested in growing things to eat me thinks for the summer months...
will see if my lovely generous brother has any of these to pass my way before I look else where for them..........hehehehehe
On my days off im not going out to spend money, I shall use my time at my home that I work hard to pay the mortgage for. catching up with the house work and the garden and any diy I can do with out paying too much money out for........ my plan not to go out shopping and spending money I really haven't got.....
So tomorrow I shall eat breakfast, have a free lunch and take my own sandwich for tea. pretty a cheap day for food. and the same Thursday.. Friday will be breakfast at home, with maybe a little fruit to be taken for break time, then home for the late afternoon, to spend with dh......... eat from the fridge for tea............ sat and sunday at home, must decide what meals are planned for the weekend.
By forward planning our meals im hoping to save abit on the shopping this month, like I said, we're eating from the cupboard, the fridge and the freezer this month with £30 cash to spend also.....sure we can do this..... saves more for paying off our holiday.....
still not got round to ebay, and maybe wont either until maybe Saturday when I have the time and the energy.
Time too go to bed, up early for my long day at work.... not bothered as I know I will have the best holiday in October with my dh.. well worth the money saved and spent......
good night all..0 -
Wednesday was a very long day, and physical. now I gotta do it all again tomorrow. but for a very good cause, my holiday and my driving lessons. I want to pass with pride and I want that holiday.
so on to Thursday with a spring in my step knowing that its nearly Friday. yay.........0 -
its Friday and ive had a long week, so glad I got the weekend off.
now thinking of making the money that I need for my holiday... how can I make £200 for a payment for the holiday?
sunday... doing a car boot with dd. that will hopefully bring us £100 so I hope. I have stacks of dvds. cds and general nic nacks and books. clothes and some photos that can go..... a good clear out is needed.
working 2 extra shifts at work this coming week, so that will add to my pay at the end of the month. yay.... happy days.
