Eeek...done something really stupid!!

My DVD recorder's sound started going a bit 'noisy' so I went into the set up menu to see if it needed re-instaling or something like that...anyway...I accidentally selected the video output (poss input) as composite instead of scart!!!

I have now completely lost the picture/signal etc. I can't even get it to display on my TV so's to get the menu back up and put right.

I have re-installed the channels on my TV to see if it 'might' pick up a picture from the DVD recorder but no way.

I am a complete plonker but how the hell am I gonna get this sorted now?

All suggestions gratefully accepted....please ;)

Get yourself a RGB lead (The three wired cable with yellow, white and red phono jacks [from poundland for the moneysaver]), and that should work as the composite setting. Then if you want to turn it back into scart connection, just change the setting back, and give the RGB cable an early retirement.

It's a JVC DR-MH20S. I have the instructions that came with it, I have even tried going through the set up menu on a blank TV screen (following the instruction manual pictures) but that didn't work :(

That is a composite video lead with left and right channel audio plugs - not RGB which is a video transmission standard different from composite.
