Hi:
Firstable I wanna say thank you for the opportunity to enjoy the forum.
I had an accident with a motobike, and almost nothing happen in my car ,so I didn't made any claim, the motorist probably gonna try to get money,I don't think it was my fault.
My question is when I try to renew my car insurance, they gave me my 4 years no claim bonus when I didn't protected them before, try to get another insurance, some of them only ask me: " Have you made any claims in the past 3 years?" I did'nt made any claim,so my answer is no.
They don't ask me if I have accidents.
Am I doing well? I'm not saying lies at all.
Thank you and I wanna hear your advices .

Most, if not all, insurers ask if you've had any accidents or claims. You've had an accident, and a claim made against you. I'd be amazed if any insurer didn't want to know about that.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0

I suggest you read the smallprint. You don't want to end up with a false declaration. Best case scenario if that happens is that the insurance company will charge you a lot of money to put it right.
Someone drove into the back of me once. Caused no damage to my car, but lots of damage to theirs. Their fault. Their insurance paid for their car.
I didn't make a claim, but told my insurance company about the accident.
Come renewal time 18 months later I went to a comparrison website and was asked the question "Any claims in the past 5 years". The truthful answer was "no", which is what I put.
Got insurance.
Was told to read the documents from insurance company, but I didn't.
Got a phonecall later to say that I had declared that I had had no accidents, when I had had an accident.
The problem was that they make assumptions based on the answers given. Because I said "no" to having made any claims, they put me down as a "no" to having had any accidents. Was in the paperwork that came through that I didn't read.
So they charged me more money. Grrr.
You will probably have to declare it. If you can't find anywhere on the application to declare it, I would use a different application process. E.g. I use GoCompare, now, as they have the option for an accident that wasn't a claim.0 -
As above they usually ask ANY accidents, claims or incidents even if no claim has been made.
Same way they ask about convictions, Any convictions or pending ones.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
The way we ask is 'any accidents, claims in the last 5 years, fault or non fault, claimed for or not'.
Declare it or risk failing CUE and having your insurance invalidated0
