Was wondering if i can start maternity leave any day of the week or does it still have to be on a sunday ?
Also, i work 1 in 3 weekends if i wanted to finish after doing my weekend ( leave from the sunday ), do i have to work that sunday or is it my 1st off ? x

You can leave any day you wish but your SMP payments wont start until the Sunday.:heartpuls baby no3 due 16th November :heartpulsTEAM YELLOWDFD 16/6/10"Shut your gob! Or I'll come round your houses and stamp on all your toys" The ONE, the ONLY, the LEGENDARY Gene Hunt :heart2:0

Providing your baby is due after 1st April this year (which it should be or your way over due LOL), your SMP will start the day after you finish work. So if you leave on a Tuesday your SMP will start on the Wednesday.
Have a look here, http://www.dwp.gov.uk/lifeevent/benefits/statutory_maternity_pay.asp#start
It's the DWP website and explains the new and old rules depending on when your baby is/was due.

Thanks for that !
1 week overdue - is it your 1st. I had my son 11 days late and had to be induced then - he was in no hurry !
