Unfair stars

Yet if all buyers went by this and gave 3 stars as a default for a "boring normal transaction" it wouldn't be long before sellers ratings became so low that their account was at risk.
Indeed - personally I generally don't fill in the stars now as I know my feeling of what stars should be does not match ebay's calculations and don't want to compromise. However, I feel very miffed with ebay that they don't explain and I was unknowingly acting to the detriment of decent sellers. And that sellers may have been unntentionally upset by me when it was ebay's fault.
I also feel anoyed there is no clear way of actually rewarding sellers who go out of their way responding to queries/arranging pickup etc.But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

I have a strong feeling that feedback and stars relates more to how much of a bargain the buyer thinks they've got regardless of the speed or quality of service. It's all entirely subjective.0
