Good morning everyone

Late this morning as couldn't find an Amazon book I had sold, so no time for my usual early message. Managed to find it in the end and am writing a sneaky post from work now.
Hilstep - belated birthday greetings for yesterday, it sounds like you had a really lovely day.
My steam cleaner is a Vax, I can't remember the model number and am in work so can't check but I think it may be an S6. I had trouble deciding which cleaner to buy because all of the reviews were very mixed, we had decided to buy a Karcher then someone told me it was on the Which do not buy list and the girl in the shop said they had a lot returned. The Vax has a 2 year guarantee so if it does not work it will be going back with a complaint but we are very happy with it so far.
Steam cleaning planned for tonight is the hall floor. I just can't put it down :rotfl:
Prawns for dinner in a spicy tomato and garlic sauce with pasta. I love prawns and they always seem expensive but have been buying the little tiny ones and they go a long way in a curry or a pasta sauce if you add them right at the end of cooking. Usual soup for lunch.
Well wishes for all sick people and pets and hugs for those who need or just want them. Keep well and safe and have a super day

Hello. Numb today. Bobby died yesterday. He was fine in the morning and fine after his blood test then about 4.30 at the vets he started to struggle. The put him in the oxygen tent and he got perky. Then around 4.50 he just keeled over off his perch. Mr Rage turned up to collect him at 5. I feel so guilty. I didn't want to leave him there but take him in and out but Mr Rage said it was more convenient for him to leave him. He didn't even sleep his last night in his own home..... Derek is very quiet and keeps looking at Bobby's swing. Last night it was an hour before I could put Bobby back in the box he came home in. I can't bear the thought of putting him in the ground. Who will cuddle him? I'm heartbroken. The last time I saw him I tickeld him and told him to be a good budgie for the vet. Trying to work as otherwise I've nothing to do but just not interested.....But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green

Rage sorry to hear that Bobby has crossed the rainbow bridge ((((((((Hugs)))))))
When our little hamsters died I knitted them a little blanket to wrap them in, maybe you could do that x
Not much doing here today apart from pottering in the garden and putting more seeds in. It has been grey all morning, but the sun has finally come out
Not enough washing to make up a full load, so it can wait until tomorrow.
Just noticed some nettles in the garden so I am going to make some nettle pesto this afternoon.
Aaaargh my windows look awful so that is another job for DH this weekend (He has all the gear and it takes him half an hour to do the whole house, inside and out
I can't wait until it gets really warm, because he will clean all the carpets and rugs as well :j
Right I have a rumbly in my tumbly so I am off to make a tuna and salad wrap nom nom nom
BFN xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Afternoon my lovelies

Hardly any OS here, been out all morning and currently sitting on my butt  gonna walk Luna shortly, fingers crossed I don't get soaked like I did 3 times yesterday
Not much to report. H got nicked for sitting in a traffic jam quickly checking his phone. He got nicked for speeding last month but did the speed awareness course. So £60 we could do without and 3 points on his licence and he has to drag his butt down to the local nick with a producer. Meh.
Cooking chicken and chorizo stew for tea as H can reheat his when he gets home.
Topsy hugs sorry to hear things are rough at mo xx
Julie love your blanket
hope things pick up for H and his work xx
Jools hugs for you xx
Rage hugs my lovey, sorry to hear about poor Bobby xxxx
Halight sorry to see you're still not sleeping great x
Hugs and spoons all round xxxI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Sorry to hear about Bobbie the budgie Rage.
These little creatures really do get into our hearts dont they? We took Scooby the chinchilla to the vets on the Saturday before he died as we thought he was ill. She injected him and he seemed ok. He put up a mediocre struggle against the needle and we thought we had saved him but he died on the Sunday. I then felt guilty that as he was obviously dying anyway we had taken him to the vets and subjected him to an injection he really didnt like or need.
I dont think we've had a pet that i havent cried over when theyve died. Even Stinky (the hamster) had a special place in my heart.:o
I will be inconsolable when my 'Girls' go. They follow me all over the house. Now ive relented to letting them sleep upstairs they even sleep next to my side of the bed. At the moment they are sitting close to my feet.
When my Girls go, there wont be anymore pets in my house. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Judi. Rockwool is the way to go. We have had it years with no problems. poly beads was the earlier method, which could have damp problems.
RIE so sorry to hear about Bobby.
We have moved on again, now just outside Boston, Lincs at a Bubble Car Museum. Have just nipped into Aldi to stock up, and fill up with fuel :eek:. Here until Sunday when we have a night at Louth prior to taking the caravan in for its service. Then only five days before we set off again, but this time without the caravan. During the Tues to Fri I have to, go to town to get what is cheaper here than Spain to take with us. Fit in a check up at our Doctors (old age & insanity one), while DH fits in a MOT on the tow car. Also get the said car taxed, the reminder should be at home when we return, together with sending our postal vote off for Mayor elections. Thursday I have a facial, manicure & pedicure, Groupon offer in our next village
, Friday we have to fit in giving blood, they must be a bit desperate as they rang and asked if we could attend one, which we could not make, but have found this one in a village nearby. Both DH & I are fairly unusual B+ & A- so we try to always go. Before that I also need to get to the hairdressers to get my twinkly roots covered;):o. not withstanding also have to catch up the washing from this time away, so if I don't appear much next week, don't be surprised.
As posting from mobile connection, keep doing a save, so sorry if a bit disjointed. Juliehope some work turns up soon for you and DH, one nice thing about being retired, is they cannot make your redundant from it!!
Topsy. ((Hugs)) just remember we are here when you need an ear.
(((Hugs)))' Spoons, Hi-5's and Positive Vibes to all this who'd like them, grab your tipple.
Take care everyone DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Rage I'm so sorry to hear about Bobby; I don't care what anyone else thinks, to me a little life that is loved is important, never mind if it's got fur, feathers, fins, or none of the above. Fly free in the Summerlands, little Bobby. x
Super blanket - just what I could do with to cover my feet in the evenings.:oVery pleased I managed to get my blanket done though. I posted a pic on yesterday's daily if your interested.
Mary's been collected; so I have removed the newspaper "carpet" and done the Dys0n Tango. Net visitor will be my friend Jessie Lab, coming next Friday, for the weekend. Even though Mary's hard work, I hope she visits me again; she's one very special little lady.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
