Why Do They Act Like They Are Doing You A Favour

We have booked a weeks holiday in Auust to go to Belgium to see the in-laws.

We booked our flights in Feb with BMI and all was well got a great price.

We had a phone call yesterday to say the 12.40 flight had been cancelled and we would have to change to another flight.

Called them back when we got in and changed to anotehr flight no problem, it was the customer service rep that got me annoyed when he said ' thats all been changed and we havent even charged you for changing it'

!!!!!!!!! i should hope not as you were the bloody reason we were changing it in the first place.

I replied to him, 'well i should think not as its your fault we are having to change it'!!! he just said 'oh yes i see what you mean' and chuckled!!

The other thing that annoyed me is on the answerphone message they said if you cant change flights and want to cancel we will give you a free refund.

again !!!!!! they think by offering you a 'free' refund of my own money that they have had for 3 months is doing me a favour

I was reading yesterday that Jet2 were stopping flights from Blackpool to Praugue and would offer a full refund to anyone who had booked and I thought then if it was me I would want a flight to praugue at the same price and a taxi to the airport if it was further or more expensive to park.

Years ago we booked a trip to Paris on a coach via the tunnel because we wanted to go via the tunnel, as it had just opened the coach carrying cars were delayed and they had to change the trip to go by ferry. Cheeky sods wrote to tell us and asked for an administration fee of £2.50 per person (£12.50) but the minimum fee was £20 yeah right as if I was going to pay.
