Sharing homebuyer survey

My boyfriend and I are currently in the process of buying a new home. We have received our mortgage offer with the basic valuation being the purchase price.
However, our homebuyer survey has been completed and the surveyor rang me to advise that the valuation of his report would be approx £5k under the price we offered, maybe more.
The estate agent (who has ben extremely pushy and rude to date) has told me that i HAVE to send him the entire report. Whilst there were a lot of purely cosmetic items we knew needed doing to the house, the surveyor spoke to me for 25 minutes listing of things that needed doing including repointing, a damp problem in one room, one window needing replacing and many other small items.
Should I share the report with the agent or just the valuation?

What have you got to lose by sharing it?
If they have valued it lower them seeing it wont change anything. May be the vendor will carry out the work?
I work in the construction trade and had all the parts completed from our buyers survey for them as it was a lot cheaper for me than them.0 -
Share the whole report that has the lowest value and don't disclose that the other valuation has confirmed the purchase price. This a negotiation, you need to act in your own best interest.0

Share just the report as JQ said; you want the EA and owner to see a list of problems.0

Thanks everyone. I guess I'm just a little wary of the EA, he has been almost aggressive to date, telling us we had to come in and pay the mortgage advisor so that we could proceed when he rang to say our offer was accepted, and the same with their conveyancing!0

My EA has been the opposite of yours - very un-forthcoming with info and incentive to proceed!
In a similar position ref survey though: my surveyor pointed out possible issues which I had looked at by experts.
Experts have confirmed about £5k worth of work that needs to be done urgently to comply with safety regs, and I will be sharing this with the vendor/ EA.
The surveyor's valuation report that doesn't specify urgent repairs will however not be shared.
But because of the way your EA has behaved, I would also be reluctant to provide the survey just to p*ss them off. That isn't what you should do, but would serve them right for behaving so badly.Please respond to mine and others' posts with courtesy and kindness- and I will not deliberately disrespect you. You do realise you don't have to use their mortgage advisor or conveyancers, don't you?0 -

Are you getting your mortgage via the EA mortgage advisor? If so, he already knows that the mortgage valuation = the purchase price.
(one reason never to use the EA advisor!).
So showing the Homebuyers survey/valuation is undermined by the knowledge that the mortgage valuation has gone through.0 -

I do - and luckily am not using either of them! Unfortunately the vendor has given the EA keys and asked them to deal with everything.
What should I do if the EA asks for the mortgage valuation, which I suspect they will at some point?0 -
Ignore them?
refer them to your solicitor (and instruct him not to respond)?0
