Exit blocked by CMS parking attendant to give me "ticket"

When I saw a guy taking interest in my car, I rushed across the street to get back to my car. He told me to "wait for him" to give me the ticket. When I started my car, he moved his car to the exit to stop me from leaving. I managed to squeeze out of the side but not before he managed to stick the ticket under my windscreen wiper. So angry at this rogue behaviour.
The ticket is not from the council but a private company "CMS". I'm in no mood to pay this "fine". Any other posters had similar experiences? Any ideas about how to progress now?

I probably would have stopped and taken photos.
To me, this sounds like blocking-in which was made illegal at the same time as wheel clamping I believe.
You could consider a phone call to the police.0 -
In hindsight, that's exactly what I should have done but I things happened quite quickly. He didn't manage to take any photos of my car with the ticket on the windscreen so they don't have any proof that I received this ticket. Should I just ignore it or acknowledge that I have the ticket which I may have to do when contacting the police?0

That is the plan. Although the car is in my mum's name so she might get worried and cave. Would it be worth asking her to let CMS know that I was the driver so all the heat is directed towards me? Or better to just ignore?
Oh dear. The bit in bold is a problem because of the danger of your Mum worrying and caving. Your Mum doesn't have to tell them, you can, which will stop her name and address even being on their system - but ONLY if this is an AOS member.
The advice then is to appeal and then when rejected, take the matter to POPLA (as well as trying to report the illegal blocking-in to the Police and BPA, neither of whom will be interested I predict). POPLA - and independent appeals service - is only available in England/Wales, see the threads about it at the top of this forum.
You were the driver so appeal immediately - as long as a PPC is an AOS member (always IGNORE any non-AOS member PPC). What does the acronym 'CMS' stand for on that rubbishy fake ticket, and what company number/details/address? Is there a BPA logo on it, is there any mention of POPLA on the back? Please let us know and check out the AOS list (Google it).
We can help you to word a strong appeal that 'hooks' this right away from your Mum completely - and with no risk to you either except some junk mail to ignore and a POPLA independent appeal stage to win at the scammers' expense!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The whole putting a ticket on your vehicle is a non starter, a charge notice will still be issued regardless, followed by the usual threat o grams. From the Plain Language Commission:
"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"0 -
If a Notice To Driver isn't put on the car then a Notice To Keeper must be received within 14 days. Note that really does mean received within 14 days not sent within 14 days so it must be posted at most 12 days after the alleged "offence"0

Thanks. This is their website: www cmsukltd com and looks like they are on the AOS list.0 -

Do they need to provide photographs to prove I was there? I think I got there before he could take them so don't even think they have any proof.0 -
CMS? Were they not nasty clampers who had the rug pulled from under their feet? They obviously have not read or ignored the rules about no blocking. Follow CM's advice.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
