And the EA will know because.....
It is out of their hands. They are just a go-between. Far more likely the issue is the buyer, their solicitor, their mortgage lender. If none of the above has spoken to the EA, there's not a lot they can say or do.0 -
We had this issue only 4 weeks ago (we exchanged a week later than we wanted to). The issue for us was that our buyers used a solicitors set up by their lender; a big out of town firm who had hundreds if not thousands of cases, and left everything to the last minute! This, in addition to our buyers who were first time buyers and the politest most timid people known to man, it took a lot of pushing! Our solicitors were the most help in pushing our buyers solicitors, not our estate agents, so that's more the route you need to go down.0

Why is it thatExchange is suppossed to happen today or tomorrow!
Where did you get that from?
Did the buyers tell you they would be able to exchange today?
Who told you? How did they know?
Sadly it is often the case that rumours fly around that "everyone has agreed to exchange by [some date]....". The people who start these rumours don't bother to check whether or not it is likely or possible.RICHARD WEBSTER
As a retired conveyancing solicitor I believe the information given in the post to be useful assuming any properties concerned are in England/Wales but I accept no liability for it.0 -

Because all parties have agreed in writing to exchange by the end of this week and complete on 25th april.0 -

I'm not suggesting its the Agents fault we havent exchanged. but it is their job to chase up our buyers solictor and provide us with an update. (Ie, Whats the hold up right now!)0
