hi can anyone offer any tips please.
I got a gorgeous pair of leopard print peep toe heels from river island in january which i only wore today with a new outfit. The left shoe is a perfect fit but the right shoe feels a bit weird it keeps slipping off so i cant walk in them at all.I have measured and checked the shoe for sizing faults but everything seems perfect so i don't know why this is happening.I didn't try both shoes when i got them as usually rive risland shoes are a perfect fit for me (size4).The local shoe repair man offered me some heel grips but those haven't solved the problem.I spent a bit on a matching bag, jeweelry and outfit so don't want to throw them away what can i do to improve the fit?Strange thing is my right foot is slightly larger than my left but the left shoe is a perfect fit and its the right which keeps slipping off. What else could i try inside them?

You can get some foam 'half insoles', I think they are called 'tiptoes', that fit in the toe end of a shoe. They might be worth a try.Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0

The 'jelly' pads that you can get to go under the balls of your feet make shoes much tighter, it might be worth giving them a try. You can get them in Boots, I think they're called 'party feet' or something similar0

These are definately the best thing to buy.
If you can though try and get them from the supermarket if they sell them. At Boots, Scholl, clarks etc they are £5. I got some from Asda for about £2.50.
They are really good for high heel shoes & also make them comfortable. They stop your feet from sliding forward to give better grip at the back - much better than heel gripsSometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -
They sound gorgeous, I love 50's style peeptoe shoes but unfortunately I have size 8 feet so end up looking like a tranny! :rotfl:0

haha-at least you can get sandals cheaper in the sales i really envy larger sized feet as size 7's &8's always have bargain prices.I love shoes sandals and handbags!I spend so much on toe plasters for peep toe shoes as they always rub on the big toe but no pain no gain i guess!Love can tame the wildest0 -
I'll move this to the health and beauty board for you to see if any more ideas come up there.
Thanks for the tip about the 'party feet' things, gingernutmeg. I have a problem with the sole of my left foot that they may solve. I've been wearing trainers for 3 years now. The thought of some proper shoes with comfy soles is very appealing.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -

Don't be fooled, while party feet make high heels less hellish they don't make them comfortable
OP you could also try a regular insole assuming it's peeptoe but not sandal?
Is it just me or are shoe sizes not as reliable as they used to be?0 -
BELFASTGIRL23 I agree shoes sizes have changed every shop is different in sizing now and what might be a 3 in 1 store is probably a 4 in another & with all these bits and bobs available now for comfort etc the shoes work out more expensive.Wish i could afford some jimmy choos.Love can tame the wildest0

Get yourself an Anti-blister stick from Compeed (found mine in Boots). They are the business, I haven't had a blister since I bought it last July, and I'm still using the same stick. You just rub a bit on when you put your shoes on and prevents the rubbing that causes the blisters, once you worn the shoes a few times and "broken them in" you don't need the stick anymore. I don;t go anywhere without my stick now just in case.0 -
I second the anti blister stick it's amazing - and I prefer normal half insoles to party feet which I find annoying after a few wears (although they are the only option for some sandals)0
