Most helpful thing I can find is.
From April 2013 Crisis Loan alignment payments and other Crisis Loans paid due to issues with benefit will be replaced by a new national scheme of Short Term Advances.
Applies to: England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland
Age rules: You must be aged 16 or over
Type of benefit: Means tested
Taxable: No
Administered by: Department for Work and Pensions

Once you have made your claim, you phone the appropriate benefit centre's contact number and ask for a callback to be booked for the benefit centre to call you back to discuss a STBA.
When you get the callback you discuss the possibility for a STBA.0 -
Ask in your JCP and they will complete a template requesting the BDC to call you to discuss STBA with you. If you are eligible it will hit your account within 24 hours. :jSkint but Debt Free at Last :T0

Did you actually sign off and stop attending the Jobcentre? Usually if you are sanctioned you would continue claiming as usual and your money would just start up again at the end of the sanction."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0 -
we did that today got refused!! waited 6 weeks already just to have me added to a joint claim0
