No record of the sale..how come?

Hi all,
We looked at a maisonette tonight, and the lady said she had been there only a year. So naturally i am going to look how much she paid for it a year ago, but there is no record of her address being bought a year ago? What does this mean, if anything?
There are other addresses on the same street that show they were sold 6 months ago and a year ago etc, but not number 9.
Is it weird or is it me being silly?
Thanks

Which website have you used? try nethouseprices! if it hasnt been updated yet you could always pay the land registry a couple of quid and get the exact details. If at first u dont succeed .......then sky diving is not for you! :idea:0

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. Yeah i tried net house prices and hometrack. If it hadn't been updated, how come others in the same street are on their that sold more recently?
Sorry for all the questions.0 -
It sometimes happens, I think new data is added monthly but major downloads only happen at 6 monthly intervals. Some things do get missed off and then appear months later.
Download from the land registry website for £3.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. bear in mind that the price it was sold for then has nothing to do with the price now.0

Some types of sales/transfers not counted as normal domestic sales:
Inherited from relative.
Partial buyout from other relatives...
Sale to a company (e.g. lots of BTLers hold property in company not individual name)0 -
We part exchanged our house and it never showed up as being sold on the site. I suppose that was because we sold it to a developer? Also, when they sold it on that sale never showed up either. That was annoying as we wanted to see how much we lost out by part exchanging!! On second thoughts, maybe it is best not to know!0

Thanks for this info - there have been a few sales in my street where the sale price has initially appeared on nethouseprices/ourproperty but disappeared subsequently - I think they fall into the BTL category0 -
I bought my house 2 years ago and it's never been listed on any of the house price websites. I called my solicitor to ask why, and he said that these errors and omissions do happen, but wasn't sure why!0
