Nationwide Mortgage.....excellent.

My Husband died last year as a result of an RTA. A driver has pleaded guilty to death by dangerous driving and will be sentenced shortly.

I discovered we did not have any mortgage protection (long story...one of those things that was going to be sorted) but Nationwide have been fabulous. They've communicated with my solicitor and have not hassled me at all with phone calls etc.

  • I can second that... Nationwide are great, or have been with me anyway. As a first time buyer wanting an old house in need of work I struggled. Natwest took at least 2 months wanting all kinds of pointless stuff so I said enough is enough with them. Went to Nationwide and it was all done in 2 weeks.
  • I'm a Nationwide fan as well. When I hit hard times due to being unemployed they were brilliant. They worked out a mortgage payment plan for me and at no time have hassled me. I was terrified the first time I rang them to say I was struggling but they were brilliant and have enabled me to keep my house.
