I knew pretty much the same time that got closed because it actually didn't have any rights to broadcast most of the channels. Maybe this is a different story.0

Yes I can understand what you meanI knew pretty much the same time that got closed because it actually didn't have any rights to broadcast most of the channels. Maybe this is a different story.

The OP is not a spammer, but is a new tablet user, and one of their previous posts/threads were about "free" tv/film sites.
Regarding this site, they quite recently took off some freeview/sky channels which were along the same lines as CatchupTV took off, so presumably pre-empting challenges, or such from sky maybe.
I did install it, but it didn't last long, too annoying to work out, and frankly there was nothing decent except sport, weird movies, and nothing was interesting to me, ie docus etc outside of what is already on catchuptv.
CatchupTV have already been down the legal/court route and have had pleasing rulings regarding channels that they "reshow" as being legal to do so (as far as i can remember), so I'm guessing what is on this site, not including anything outside UK, is in the same category. Naturally caveat emptor.0 -
Forgot all about this site, just been watching Bikinl TV, i keep pressing pop out at the bottom right but they don't.

Whilst my tablet works via wifi upstairs, I thought I'd give the filmon website a whirl once I was in bed, however a message informed me that seemingly the wifi was not available, yet it worked downstairs.
So, you techie lads & lasses, do I need to purchase something to ensure my wifi reaches the bedroom? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
In some places solid walls can degrade signal so much it doesn't show. What you can do is go down the route of Power link plug units to sent wired net upstairs, assuming it's all on the same ring (iirc) then you could buy one with a wireless component to provide wifi, or trail/lay either a wireless adaptor, or extender upstairs (connects via wire to router downstairs, hence the trail, or lay the wire to unit upstairs).
Depends how much you want to spend, and whether you want extra hassle of wires lying around. And also whether you have some parts lying around. For example a spare router with wireless inbuilt, could buy the power plugs (cheaper non-wifi version) then throw the spare router on the plug upstairs, and either extend the original wifi, or be lazy like I did and just create a second wifi hotspot

Is this the best ? I wrote, well on reflection, maybe not. For whatever reason even though my tablet worked OK upstairs, the Filmon site didn't.
TVcatchup was mentioned, I already had that, IT works upstairs so Filmon has now been uninstalled.
In a way I'm like a kid on Christmas morning, rushing round trying any and everything in the excitement of being a tablet user. Thanks for all your input, I won't even need to do anything about extending my wifi signal now. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
