fraud famliy tax credit

The family tax credit people are coming to my sons home to speak to him about fraud of the tax credit.
He has done nothing wrong all the same it is a worry.
At the present time he is trying to get a mortgage will this be on any records anywhere?
I would appreciate any your help.

    If he's done nothing wrong - he shouldn't worry.

    I was investigated last year - they wanted copies of all payslips, bank statements, nursery receipts and a letter from god!, before they came out to visit me.

    I suspect my bitter ex had told them I had my new partner living with me (which I didn't), as that was what the investigators kept questioning me about. They seemed quite miffed that I wasn't defrauding them!!

    They can be quite intimidating - but if he's done nothing wrong he'll be fine.
