Uk Visa Sponsor For Mum

Hi all,

I am a british citizen settled in the uk i was born in bangladesh. I last seen my mother in 1994 and she is 60 and of ok health for age. I am wanting to get my mum over to the uk for 6 months visit visa so she can see me, my husband and her 2 grandchildren, however we are going to sort out the visa over here in the uk using the visauk online application process and at the end ot states it costs 10k taka (£80) for the visa and my mum would go to sylet to obtain the visa. I find this hard to belive that the visa can be collected there and not sorted out over here?, is this me being slighly silly?

Do i pay over here for the visa or does my mum pay in bangladesh?

Could someone please help?

It is your mother applying, for her visa. All that you can do is provide information and documentation to support her application. So yes: she has to pay locally and attend the embassy for interview.

If the process is too difficult for her, there are any number of travel and visa agents who could help her (for a fee of course).
