My laptop is running Win Vista with browsers IE & Firefox.

Unfortunately I have clicked on something and now everytime I open either browsers the default comes up as Delta Search - I can temp. change the homepage but as soon as I close and reopen it revert to Delta.

Can someone please tell me how to remove this rubbishy delta search?

You can also try this: http://deletemalware.blogspot.com/2013/02/remove-delta-searchcom-redirect-delta.html

or use AdwCleaner http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/

Used it when had a really annoying toolbar. It was called conduit if I remember correctly. Helped me a lot.

Pushes SpyHunter which will require payment.

Adwcleaner is free and is all you'll need.

Just skip the download button. It's a rather detailed removal guide, so I thought it's worth sharing. And yes, I agree, Adwcleaner is indeed a very useful utility.

To be honest the removal instructions aren't needed either if people don't like to mess - AdwCleaner does the lot - reverts settings changes, deletes file/folders/registry entries, stops/deletes services etc...
1. Go to Control Panel- Add and Remove programs – uninstall Delta Search.
2. Go to browser extensions and:
• For Internet Explorer: Go to “Tools” (or gear icon in Internet Explorer 9), -> “Manage Add-ons”. Search for Delta Search. If you find any entries, disable them.
• For Google Chrome: Click on the wrench or bars icon on the top right of the screen; go to “Tools”-> “Extensions”. If you see any extensions related to Delta Search, click on a trash can icon next to them.
• For Mozilla Firefox: Go to “Tools” -> “Add-ons” ->; “Extensions”. If you see any extensions related to Delta Search, disable them.
3. Reset your home page. You can do so: · For FF click on "Restore to default" on Options - General - Startup - Home page. You should also set "When Firefox starts" to "Show my home page".For Google Chrome go to Settings, select the "Show Home button" checkbox in the "Appearance" section. Click Change on the Home button.
4. You may need to reset your default search engine and New Tab page.
5. Scan your computer for viruses.
If the problem persists you may need to use antimalware tools that remove Delta Search automatically (2-viruses.com/remove-delta-search-hijacker).

Quote, Adwcleaner is free and is all you'll need.
