When does unpaid default notice be removed from credit report.

Options
Due to a relationship separation i defaulted on a credit card in sept 2007, I was paying direct to bank. In Nov 2007 when I went into the bank to make another payment they told me the debt had been written off and were unable to accept my payment. I have had no communications from them since regarding the outstanding debt.
Is it true that this will be removed from my credit reports and not be visible to financial organisations from September this year?

Also defaulted on another credit card in October 2007. This was passed to debt collection services, I have since never missed a payment with them. The last communication I had from them was October 2010 thanking me for my excellent record of payments, I am still continuing to pay this debt. Would this also be wiped from October this year?
